How it worksRosetta Stone Learning Foundations will be provided as a Specials Program to students between 2nd and 5th grade this school year. Each student will be able to learn the language of their choice based off of our selection of languages provided through Rosetta Stone. Those languages include Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, Portuguese, Latin, and Hebrew.
Students will be using Chrome Books (donated by the Hopi Dad's Club) during the specials time to complete various units and levels. As students complete levels in each unit, they will be given rewards for their progress. Students will be able to access their RS accounts from any computer, tablet, or mobile device (app search: Rosetta Stone, ltd) outside of the classroom. This is highly encouraged throughout the school year because it has been recommended that the program is most effective if utilized 2-3 times a week. Student's will not be graded for their work on Rosetta Stone but weekly reports will be printed out by Mr. Rhodes to help monitor each students progress. |
Mr. RhodesHi. My name is Mr. Blake Rhodes and this is my second year at Hopi Elementary. I am extremely excited to be running the Rosetta Stone program this year and look forward to all the success that it is going to bring to our students here at Hopi. I served four years of active duty in the United States Navy as a Logistics Specialist and have been pursuing my degree in education and will be graduating this fall from ASU. My wife, Mrs. Jenny Rhodes, was the Life Skills teacher at Hopi last year.
